Healthy microclimate

Latex foam mattress cores ensure a healthy microclimate, where temperature and moisture balance are perfectly matched to the sleeper’s profile. Latex mattress cores have an average insulation capacity, i.e. not too hot or too cold, and an excellent moisture balance (a score of 99 out of a 100). 

Microclimate

It is possible to simulate a microclimate in a laboratory. Dr Heidinger, Departmental Head at the Munich Ergonomics Institute (Germany), uses a ‘climate dummy’ to simulate a microclimate: a doll fitted with a reservoir of physiological fluid and electrical resistors to stimulate night perspiration and body temperature.
